xs4all-ipv6-pilot

This describes the configuration for use in the Xs4all IPv6 pilot. The configuration used is: ADSL modem in PPTP mode, the PPTP endpoint is on a Ubuntu linux server acting as a bastion host.

Some problems i see with this configuration:

  • the link is not always ppp0 it can also be another ppp interface
  • even when option domain is not specified, it still mutates the /etc/resolv.conf file

Configuration of the Speedtouch ST546 and the daemons for the Xs4all IPv6 pilot

In preparation of the IPv6 pilot of XS4ALL http://www.xs4all.nl/klant/ipv6/

Todo

You have to:

  • install pptp ppp packages (not included)
  • create a firewall (not included)
  • configure the ADSL modem
  • setting a password on the ADSL modem
  • modifying the loginnaam in the xs4all peer file

Speedtouch ST546 configuration

The ADSL modem is reconfigured to PPTP PPPoA mode.

Restore this configuration file, and change the Administrator password
